Przybyli do Bydgoszczy 6 stycznia 1945. Dowodca byl Major Desző Szilágyi. 21 stycznia opuscili Bydgoszcz. Dziennie przemierzali 20-25 km przy -15-20°. Rodziny oficerow zaladowano na wozy.

Shortly before Christmas 1944, the Hungarian students were put
on a train to be sent to the city of Bromberg (currently Bydgosc in Poland), where
they were subjected to German Reconnaissance and Cavalry School. (Sørensen, 2005,
Illum et. al., 1998) From Bromberg the group covered about 900 kilometres on
horseback until Münster, Germany, and from there by train to Næstved, Denmark.
According to information from the Danish
authorities, after the war they counted
around 150 people belonging to the cadet school. Out if this number, just half were
students, while the others were officers
, vicarious officers and family members,
